Thanks for the cross-promotion, Dave. :-)

Always glad to. They really went all out with that cast and movie didn't they?

I have this one also on CD....Interested?

Actually, Dave, you can delete my previous comment about the 1988 stage cast recording....I went ahead, ripped it, and posted it here:

THE
WIZARD OF OZ (1988 London Cast)

It's actually very good, and all the music basically sounds just like it did in the 1939 movie.

Not sure right now. At the moment I'm in a fight with DreamHost over copyright of every single one of my files. My entire account has been shut down until further notice. so not one damn single one of my files will work now. Apparently some money-grubbing music industry asshole got to them.
Dave

That's good Greg. Due to my account being shut down looks like i won't be able to share anymore music anyways. What file sharing system have you found to use that won't delete my stuff for copyright reasons?

This link isn't working. Any help?

Well, I use Sharebee.com file distribution service (it's free, and I'm sure there's other similar services around), and they automatically distribute to four different hosts at the same time. That way, even if one of the links gets deleted (or two), there's always two others still around to use. I also use (don't know how much it helps) a link hiding service to put the Sharebee link through instead of posting the actual Sharebee link. Give it a try.

I sympathize.....f**kin' deletion nazis. I can't understand WHY most of what you post would be in question anyhow....it's all extremely old and out-of-print stuff.

Sorry no. My file hosting SOBs have shut down my account. The worse news is I stupidly did not back up most of my music files on CD. So unless they unblock my acount every single music file is now lost.
Dave

Like I said in my reply to dartman. The bad part is none of the files I got from Jason at Scar Stuff are replaeable because I didn't back any of them up. Most of my own stuff I at least backed up on 90 minute, high quality cassettes. It's just the matter of having to rip them to my PC all over again that peeves me off.

I just got an email from the nazi b**turds, and they said unless I can show documentation that every single one of my files is public domain, or that I have permission from the copyright owner to share them they will remain blocked. Some days it just doesn't pay to get out of bed....lol.

I emailed you....let me know when you get it.

I have saved on disc everything I ever downloaded from your blogs and can send copies to you if you like (I only saved what interested me, not everything you ever posted, however).

I like that...."nazi basturds". :-)

Big question is:

Can THEY produce documentation that those files are NOT public domain, or that a copyright holder even exists??

Nazi deletion jerks!

Dave said...

I got it, and replied back. Thanks!!

Unfortunatley that's not their job. They're like ebay. If anyone raises even a shadow of a doubt they panic, and take action. And due to their TOS you're guilty until you prove yourself innocent.

Dave

Dave said...

Ok. I have a new share link for this one. Try it again now.

Are you SERIOUS? Wow, that's just stupid. I heard about a LOT of blogs sometime around last year or something that had everything deleted because some dumbasses decided to report all their files. Oi.

Joey said...

PS. I was wondering if you're a fan of Judy Garland outside of The Wizard of Oz. If so, I have some stuff uploaded you might be interested in. ^_^

Dave said...

I am, but at the moment every spare meg of hard drive space is being used to recover my files from the dummies. Thanks anyways. Maybe you could start a Judy garland Blog.

Dave

Joey said...

I probably should, but I'm still building my collection. I'll gather the links together and post them here anyway and when you have spare space, you can download them. I upload through sharebee.com now as well because if someone so much as visits the link once every 30 days, they'll keep the files alive at the multiple sites.

Hjalmar Poelzig said...

Exactly why I suggested Dave try using Sharebee.

Joey, you should start a Garland blog and simply add to it as your collection grows. That would be part of the fun of doing such a blog.

Joey said...

A Judy Garland blog wouldn't be too bad of an idea. I'll get around to it eventually. :P

I have another Judy Garland Soundtrack recording that is on my list for re-sharing later. It's the "Gay Purr-ee" Soundtrack. I think Greg may have shared the Cd version of it. Mine was the LP rip.
Dave

Hjalmar Poelzig said...

Actually, I only posted the link to someone's blog where they shared the CD rip:

Yeah. I knew I had seen it somewhere. I lose track after awhile. I visit about 50 music blogs everyday so it gets hard to keep track.
