GOT MYSELF ON A NOSTALIGA TOY KICK EARLIER, AND I THOUGHT I'D DIG UP SOME MORE OF IT. HERE'S SOME PHOTOS OF THE KENNER EASY SHOW PROJECTOR:

HERE'S A DISCUSSION PAGE WHERE SOME FOLKS WRITE IN WITH THEIR MEMOIRES OF THIS TOY INCLUDING THE BOY ON THE FRONT OF THE BOX PICUTRED ABOVE:

EASY SHOW PROJECTOR CHILDHOOD MEMORIES

THE EASY SHOW PROJECTOR WAS IN FILM REEL VERSION. ONE OF THE BOXES SAYS THE PROJECTOR IS MOTOTRIZED, BUT THE BOTTOM BOX IN THE PHOTO SHOWS THE BOY CRANKING IT BY HAND

HERE'S A COUPLE OF PHOTOS OF THE KENNER GIVE-A-SHOW PROJECTOR:

THIS TOY HAD THE FILM ON A SLIDE STRIP THAT WAS THEN PROJECTED ONTO A WALL OR SHEET, OR CELING AS SOME WOULD HAVE IT. HERE'S A DISUCSSION ON THE GIVE-A-SHOW PROJECTOR FROM THE SAME WEBISTE FROM ABOVE:

HERE'S SOME PHOTOS OF THE MATTEL FUNLIGHT WITH COLORED DISKS 9NOT TOO MUCH INFO ONLINE ABOUT THIS ONE:

NOT MUCH DISCUSSION ON THIS ONE EXCEPT FOR THIS ONE WEBSITE:

HERE'S A PHOTO OF THE VIEWMASTER PROJECTOR WITH CASE (I HAVE ONE OF THESE MYSELF, BUT IT NEEDS A NEW BULB THAT I'M HUNTING FOR):

HERE'S SOME MORE OF THOSE 1971 SEARS WISHBOOK PAGES SHOWING MOST OF THE ITEMS I'VE LISTED HERE:

I GOT ONE OF THESE PLAYDOH FUN FACTORY SETS FOR CHRISTMAS IN 1965 WHEN I HAD JUST TURNED 9. I LOVED IT:

DISNEYKINS DISPLAYER - THIS WAS PURCHASED AT OUR LOCAL SEARS IN THE 1960'S, AND HUNG ON MY BROTHER'S AND MY BEDROOM WALL UNTIL I GOT MY OWN FIRST APARTMENT IN 1984.

I MISSED OUT ON A LOT OF THE TOYS I'VE SHOWN HERE. HOWEVER, ONE I DID RECEIVE THAT FOR ME WAS ONE OF 3 MY ULTIMATE CHRISTMAS GIFTS WAS THE MARX FT. APACHE PLAYSET. I PLAYED WITH THIS SET FOR HOUR AFTER HOUR UNTIL I "OUTGREW' IT, AND IT WAS GIVEN AWAY TO A YOUNGER COUSIN (DANGIT).

AH YES. THE OTHER SORE SPOT FOR ME, AND ANOTHER ONE OF MY THREE FAVORITE ALL-TIME CHRISTMAS GIFTS. JOHNNY WEST AND CHIEF CHEROKEE WITH HORSES. I GOT ALL FOUR OF THESE WHEN I WAS 11 IN 1967. WHEN I LEFT TO GO IN THE ARMY IN 1974 I STILL HAD ALL FOUR STILL IN THEIR MINT CONDITION BOXES. BY THE TIME I GOT HOME FOR LEAVE THE FIRST TIME, MY PARENTS HAD GIVEN AWAY ABOUT 3/4 OF ALL OF MY TOYS TO YOUNGER COUSINS. NEEDLESS TO SAY I WAS NOT A HAPPY CAMPER. HERE'S A CROPPED SEARS WISHBOOK PHOTO OF JOHNNY WEST & HIS HORSE THUNDERBOLT (I DIDN'T HAVE JANE WEST, BUT I DID HAVE THE CHIEF CHEROKEE AND HIS HORSE):

Nice post! I think this is the first time I've seen Give-A-Show Projectors mentioned on any other blog than my own! At my Random Acts of Geekery, I have "Give-A-Show Fridays," where I post my badly-scanned images from Give-A-Show slides (two slidestrips each Friday) and, when I have updated information, a checklist of Give-A-Show slides (well, that's really just a list of the slides I've collected since I began collecting the fershlugginer things this past summer!). Please come check it out sometime! I also have all kinds of other geekery there, posted on a daily basis!

I've just been looking into buying one of the Projectors myself for my Grandkids. My wife, and I are trying to get them to appreciate the use of thier imaginations a little that Video Games and DVDs have taken away. So far i have them hooked on read along records and viewmasters. I'm looking now to find a Show N Tell Phone Viewer, and either an Easy Show or Give A Show Projector. The later aren't too hard to find, but the Show N Tell Viewers are very hard to find in good working order. I'll link your site off from here, and come visit your blog sometime.

I agree... Give-A-Shows are pretty easy to find, but the Easy-Show and See-A-Show (Kenner's attempt at the View-Master market) rarely show up on eBay. I've been tempted to start collecting some of the other stuff you mentioned in your post, too!

Looking forward to your visit at the Random Acts of Geekery! This Friday I'll have an updated Give-A-Show checklist, too!

I've only seen 1 easy Show Projector set. It was on Ebay Canada, and was an already ended auction. I think it went for almost $50.00.

The list I'd like to see is one of all the titles for the Show 'N Tell Viewer. I've checked online, and the list seems endless. Plus there were 3 or 4 different companies that put them out.

Can't wait to see your Give A Show list.

Dave, have you ever seen this old ad for Kenner Easy Show Movie Projector? I've never seen this before my time where they showed clips from various cartoons from Disney, Warner Bros. to Hanna-Barbera. Here it is.

No. I've never seen that either. Unfortunately the Easy Show Projector set is just about impossible to find now days. even on ebay.
