Thanks for the plug man!

I really am trying to create a fusion of Disney music lovers here on the net. There seems to be a giant void that the Disney company refuses to acknowledge or satisfy.

Walt Disney understood the importance of music in his movies, and also how much money he could make off it as well. "When You Wish Upon A Star" saved Disney animation from going bankrupt!

Anyhoo, I could rant forever.. but I wanted to also let you know I have a really cool promo LP of Pinocchio with unreleased songs from the film..It's some picture disc with judy garland/wizard of oz on the other side. I will transfer it to my computer soon and get that uploaded.

Rare pinocchio songs that are on this disc:

Turn On The Music Box
Three Cheers For Anything

Dave,

Thanks for the link! But can you re-post the full Legend of Sleepy hollow album here soon as the link is just for the three bing crosby song and not the complete story album. Thanks!

Scott,

I'm not sure what you mean. The Sleepy Hollow LP I shared HERE is the full LP with Rip Van Winkle on the other side. I'm not sure exactly which Bing Crosby share you mean I guess. Sorry.

Dave,

The link to the guy who has the song in the head blog has posted a zip file for sleepy hollow that only contains the three main songs Bing Crosby sings in the Disney version. The Sleepy Hollow LP with Rip Van Winkle on the other side is the one I am looking for. If you could re-post before Halloween, as it is my 5 year old Daughter's favorite Halloween Movie and she would love to listen to it in our car, I would greatly appreciate it. Cause the link you have is one that megaload has deleted. Sorry for the confusion and many thanks!

Thanks for those rare and obscure Disney albums. I've never heard the soundtrack to "The Three Caballeros" which was never been released on the Disneyland label. Is this real or a bootleg? I guess that this LP was from about 1957 or so depending on what this album got released. not sure!

Hey Brooklyn,

It is bootleg/real. Both I guess. I ripped the audio directly off the movie, so it's real in that aspect.. but it's my own bootleg. The lack of Disney music and the quality of Disney LP's kind of forced me into doing this. I am still amazed at the quality of MP3's that Dave puts up.. they are really clean sounding.

I really had nothing to go on while creating this soundtrack.. it was kind of guesswork as to the titles. I ended up finding a site that listed the DVD titles and I used those as an guide for tracklisting the songs.

Then I did find a site that listed the LP track listing from the 50's and I found that my guess work was pretty close. Almost exact.

I did take off a few instrumental pieces that the LP kept on.

Mainly I left off two instrumentals. One was a mexican dance song and the other was called "Jesusita" or something. They seemed to drag on and I wanted the soundtrack to be tighter and more concise, but still represent the whole of the movie. There were also some songs that were more or less a reprise of the original song, so those got the cut as well. I didn't feel it necessary to leave on 3 different versions of "Os Quindins De Yaya".

Quality wise, I took these right off the movie, so they aren't too compressed. The audio is in Mono just like the film. The files themselves are fairly big, so they sound really good. There is a new DVD of Caballeros that is in 5.1 surround, but that's a bit overboard for a Disney soundtrack that was created in the late 40's, so I didn't use that. Plus I think 5.1 audio files would have been way to big.

Anyhoo,

I hope this answers your questions :)

Cheers,
