Hi,

I know somebody ttok at least the picture of Disney's Christmas Favorites from my blog. I didn't download it to see if it was the same recording. Like you I don't want people stealing from my blog. How do I protect my blog like you do? Bob

This is my record. I downloaded it and I know how I tagged the files and the mp3's sound like my copy. I jhve listened to it enough to know where it crackles and how bad. How do I stop this guy??? I mean I posted it on Rapidshare or Megaupload. He downloaded and posted it on Medifire. He should either credit me for making the mp3's or use my link and still credit me. This is not his work. Bob

Steve has never told me that all of the images are his. However, he has never given me specific locations of where he finds the files either. I do know however that the photos are not hotlinked. However, he has said that the sound files ARE his.

As for stealing from my blog the only time I have a problem with people using my shares is if they post my photos using my jpg codes, and my sound files using my sound file codes. In other words "hotlinking'. At least have the gumption enough to "Save As" the files to your own PC, and share them from your own file sources. However, as I have found out there really isn't much way of stopping any such theft as I have reported such to blogspot once. They made it quite clear that they had no intention of doing anything about it. Since we're all sharing OOP music that we didn't create it is our tough luck is basically the answer I got from them.

I mean there used to be a blog that even went so far as to share my Archived muci files from my FTP file source. Blogspot would do nothing to that blog owner about it. So since then why don't we say the heck with it. Let's just rip each other off, and be merry. Basicially we have no defense against it using blogspot. Unfortunately I've checked into other blog servers, and they suck compared to blogspot.
Sorry. Wish I had a more profound answer, but I don't.

Hey Guys,

First I have to say that last night I shared Disney's CF album that I probebly got from your website. Please all who are offended buy this, I really did not think of the fact that I got the audio from someone elses blog. I did not consider someone would be upset. My only intention is to get this stuff out there for everybody to share and enjoy.
Please, Dave had no idea that I got this audio from somewhere else. Dave has graciously lended me an outlet to share one thing that I am passionate about, Vintage Disney Albums.
I should clarify that when I say these recordings come from "my collection", all the audio I have recorded from my vinyl and mp3 collection.
Now it is a shame to everyone who loves these posts that it may be no more in the future because I made an unfortunate mistake of shareing shared music. Something I will make sure never happens again.

Please forgive me all involved again. I hope you guys can let me continue contributing to this blog.
Let me say this, I believe all of my other shares are my recordings from my collections.
If no more shares are allowed from me, I think It was great while it lasted! Thanks for shareing.

I've added you as source creidt at Christmas Shario Bob. Sorry I didn't have time to actually download all the files myself yet to check them all for sources. As I said Steve I don't mind sharing other people's music at my blogs. I just try to give credit to the proper original source.

Bob- again in answer to your question how do we stop hotlinking - sad to say we don't. Not unless someone knows some html coding to put in the blog settings section to stop it. Other than that I have had no success at stopping it other than to appeal to that blog owner, and hope they are decent enough to do the right thing. So far all but one blog owner has done so. That blog is a moot point now because none of the files they stole from me work any longer anyway as I dropped my Dreamhost account where they were hosted.

I don't steal albums from other blogs for example the "Get Up and Boogie" blog where it does have the "Sesame Disco" and "Sesame Street Fever", two of the Sesame Street LP's came from different blogs.

Anyway, nice work on the "Best of Disney" LP's. I have those two on cassette except the LP "Hall of Presidents" which is from my record collection.
