Danny Kaye "Mommy, Gimme A Drinka Water!" (Capitol Records T-937 1960s)

I APOLOGIZE FOR THIS LP SHARE. THE LP HAD SOME STATIC I WAS NOT ABLE TO GET RID OF WITH MY SOFTWARE WITHOUT HAVING SOUND QUALITY LOSSES. HOWEVER, IT IS OVERALL A VERY GOOD LISTEN FOR SUCH A RARE LP.

Glad I could help. I know what you mean. I found it at Kiddie Rekord King, but he wanted $35.00 for a CD-R copy without any graphics. So i found the LP finally for next to nothing on ebay.

Great find.
I have the record myself, although it has different cover for some reason.
This brings back memories, although I'm from '68 I have been hearing this album all through my childhood.
Thanks a lot.

This is just completely wonderful. My sibs and I wore out two copies of this album as kids.

Thank you, Dave!!

FYI, there is an excellent "little girl" version of the album done by Didi Conn about 10 years ago. It too has great charm. The remake by Neil Rosengarden that is available online only is OK, I guess, but not up to the standards of Conn's and certainly not Kaye's.

my daughter just sent me this link. We owned this album, copied it to tape and my kids (now well and truly grown) know all the songs by heart. We lost our copy somewhere along life's way.

I'm looking forward to downloading it.

Thank you so much for this treasure!!! Such a shame you can't find it in the stores or on iTunes... My mom grew up with this album and just shared it with me... it's worthy of being passed down through many generations.

Thank you! I am 29 and remember my father playing this album for me as a child. I have been looking for it for awhile. Now I can play it for my 4yr old son.

Thank you so much! I'm only 26 but I used to put this record on my dad's LP player and spend my afternoon sitting and listening to it. Heaven.

Back in "the day", I learned every song, sang them for campers when I was a counselor; sang them forand with my two children; am now singing them for and with my two granddaughters. Crazy Barbara is their favorite! Thank you so much.

I gave my nephew boxer shorts for Christmas and of course, this brought to mind "The Thank You Letter" Thanks so much for allowing me to share my memories with him. We loved that album!

Just so you all know: "Mommy Gimme a Drink of Water" --- the entire album --- is on Spotify! And you can sign up for a free Spotify account. The quality is perfect. What memories for me, too! I think I had the album WHEN I was five!

OMG! My mother has been looking for this album for years! She grew up with it, had the actual vinyl and lost it and has been searching forever for it. I love you! You have really made my families day! Thank you very much!

Thanks so much for making this available. I have a very worn out copy of the album and yours is in much better shape. My children listened to it and now I'll be able to share it with my grand children.

We used to have this on an EP at home in Tramore Co. Waterford in Ireland. It was played so much it was worn to flippers! My Downs Syndrome sister played it a lot. When she died in 1969 my mom gave away all her records and I thought it was gone forever. I tried to find a copy some years ago but I could not trace one. Thanks so much for putting it up on You Tube! Yes - the happy memories come flooding back!
